Second Corinthians 5:14-21 tells us that the number one ministry of God’s people is reconciliation. We must understand that it’s not what a person used to be that matters with God, but what that person can become. God’s definition of a spiritual person is one who is willing to get involved in others’ lives – not to bring judgment on them, but with the intent of restoration. If we say that we are spiritual, we must learn to distinguish between a person and his or her faults, so that our approach is made in a spirit of gentleness. A spiritual person has the ability to work with someone who has been overtaken in a fault, and at the same time is able to hold him or her accountable while they are in the process of changing. A spiritual person will see another person’s potential and desires to show them who they truly are in God’s eyes. Is there any spiritual one among us?
