Living With Temptation Without The Sin - 2 CD series
Temptation. It’s something we all face (I Corinthians 10:13), but something no one wants to talk about. But in order to successfully overcome temptation, we have to talk about it and we should also understand that temptation in and of itself is not a sin. Too often we associate being tempted as a sign of weakness, when in reality, temptation is nothing more than a constant distraction that tries to pull us away from God, and our purpose in life. Every day something fights for supremacy in our lives. Everyday some kind of distraction will try to shift our focus away from God. Jesus Himself experienced temptation and overcame it and He is ready to help us do the same! This message series by Randy Morrison will show you how. This series starts by first reminding you that temptation in and of itself is not a sin. But, giving into temptation is. So, in order to resist temptation we must learn to protect ourselves in three areas: 1) Our Identity: It is the foundation for our life. We must never forget who God says we are. 2) Our Destiny: To fulfill our destiny we have to make the choice to master every temptation. 3) Our Lifestyle. Our lifestyle is how we live while pursuing our destiny. Temptations will try to force us to live our lives recklessly so that we will forfeit our destiny. We can choose to succumb or overcome!
