Life is a constant movement of change, not a monument of sameness. Change and growth are necessary for us to get to the future we desire. In order to get what we want out of life and experience new things, we will need to change what we have been doing, depart from what we know, and be willing to increase our knowledge and experiences. God’s desire is for change that will make us better. We need to see change as leaving behind what we are in order to become all we can be in God. We should never live our lives holding on to things as if they are permanent. Without change, we can become extinct—no longer relevant to our society! Flexibility is the key to being relevant in a changing world. Too many times we resist change because we are comfortable in our routine, and we end up in a rut. When we embrace change, we will become mature people, and our intellect and emotions will grow to the point of handling changes in our lives. It requires adjustments and takes courage. Change challenges us to let go and trust what lies ahead for us.
